Model Link
Fibre Channel
VisualSim’s Fibre Channel library provides designers with next generation networking system for high performance and mission assurance systems by conducting early design space exploration.
Standards Supported
- Fibre Channel Avionics Environment Anonymous Subscriber Message standards (FC-AE-ASM) follows FC-FS-2 and FC-AL-2 standards.
- Fibre Channel – Framing and Signaling (FC-FS) supports both 8b/10b and 64b/66b encoding schemes.
Features
- Supports Fibre Channel Arbitrated Loop and Fibre Channel Switch Fabric topologies.
- Library extends its functionality as Fibre Channel Framing and Signalling (FCFS) and Fibre Channel Avionics Environment Anonymous Subscriber Message standards (FC-AE-ASM).
- Package consists of Fibre Channel Node, Link, Switch, and Configuration
Working and Usage
- Node interfaces with device on one side and Fibre Channel switch on the other side. The Node block requires Link, Switch, and Configuration blocks instantiated in the model.
- The Switch block supports fragmentation, assembly, and quick data movement. It possesses parameters such as, Switch speed, Ingress and Egress Buffer sizes, Fragment size, and Overhead.
- The Link block models the physical communication medium, where the user can define the length and delay associated with the type of communication field.
- The Link block models the physical communication medium, where the user can define the length and delay associated with the type of communication field.
